about this poster

Angers poster, castle and Saint-Maurice Cathedral

Along the Maine, the striped towers of Angers Castle form a massive wall. Behind them, the old town climbs up to the 2 spires of Saint-Maurice Cathedral, rising above the orange rooftops. This Angers poster brings the city’s 2 great landmarks together in a single view. The bands of dark schist and pale tuffeau, the green of the river and the orange of the roofs make for a faithful, elegant image. The title “ANGERS” appears in the style of an illustrated travel poster.

The capital of Anjou for an office or a bedroom

Its tones of stone, slate and blue suit a living room, an entryway, an office or a bedroom, alongside oak or walnut furniture. It pairs well with linen, leather and objects in aged metal. Hung opposite another view of Angers or a Loire Valley poster, it creates a harmonious set. It makes a great gift for a native of Angers, a former student of the city, a newcomer to Maine-et-Loire or a cathedral enthusiast.
